What's on Stage this Weekend and Upcoming Auditions

There's still time to see some shows that I posted about last week. This is the last weekend to see Drop Dead at Richardson Theatre Center and Church and State at Stage West in Fort Worth. Here are a few more that are coming up! I will be at Cinderella Enchanted at Uptown Theatre in Grand Prairie and Dragons Love Tacos at Dallas Children's Theatre this weekend, so be on the lookout for those reviews!

Here are the Theatres, their productions and the auditions:

Main Stage Irving 

The next show coming to Main Stage will be Sherwood, and I'll have more info on that at a later time.

Auditions: Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown Sign up is now available to audition for March 26th from 1-6pm; Call Backs will be held on Sunday March 27th from 12-5pm. Be prepared to dance at callbacks.

Onstage in Bedford:

Love Letters is currently onstage. This is the last weekend to see it, so grab your seat! Tickets range from $23-$25, Friday and Saturday at 8pm; Sunday at 3pm. Appropriate for Ages 14+.

Uptown Theatre, in Grand Prairie: 

This one is great for the whole family! Cinderella Enchanted opens this weekend and runs February 18-27. Tickets are $15-$20.

Stage West, in Ft. Worth:

On the Exhale runs February 10-February 27. Tickets are $40. Appropriate for ages 14+.

Artisan Theatre, in Hurst:

There's still some time to catch Aladdin this weekend and next. Also, Wizard of Oz opens this weekend! This show may only be appropriate for 14+, since it is listed as one that will take place on their regular stage, rather than the Jr. stage. It will run February 18th-March 19th with several showings: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays with 7:30pm performance times and an additional 3pm showing on Saturdays. There are no Sunday performances.  

Auditions will take place on March 9th from 5:30-8:30pm for How I Became a Pirate. Ages 8-18 are welcome to audition. Please bring 16 bars of a Broadway or Disney song that will display your vocal range. No accompaniment will be offered, so you must provide your own CD or electronic device for accompaniment.

Rover Dramawerks in Plano: 

Sweet Revenge will be running March 17-26th. Please refer to yesterday's press release, or check out their website for further information. 

Auditions for Artifice will be held February 19th from 12-2pm and Febrary 20th from 5-7pm. Please bring your resume and headshot. Auditions will consist of cold readings. Stipends are provided for cast and crew members for the show.

Runway Theatre, in Grapevine:

Runway is back! On March 25-April 10 Runway will be bringing us Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery. Friday and Saturday performances begin at 8pm and Sundays are at 3pm. Ages 14+.

Firehouse Theatre, Farmer's Branch:

Firehouse Jr. presents "A Year with Frog and Toad," March 3-6. This is a short weekend performance, so be sure to get your tickets quickly! Tickets are $15.

Theatre Arlington:

Sister Act runs March 25-April 16 for ages 14+. Thursday-Saturday performances are at 7:30pm; Sundays at 2pm. Tickets are $32 online. 

Auditions: Make an appointment for Saturday February 26 to audition for Black Comedy, starting at 1pm at the Theatre Arlington Education Building, located at 316 W. Main St. in Arlington.
