Allen Contemporary Theatre Press Release
Allen Contemporary Theatre is excited to announce the cast of its upcoming production of Deathtrap by Ira Levin. The show runs March 18th through April 3 on Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoons.
This show is directed by Robyn Mead with Assistant Director Kristina Rosette. The cast features the following actors:
Sidney Bruhl - Alex Rain
Myra Bruhl – Heather Shin
Helga ten Dorp – Kelly Moore Clarkson
Clifford Anderson – Logan Gaconnier
Porter Milgrim – Kenneth Fulenwider
This exciting Thriller blends comedy and murder in a devilishly twisted manner. Sidney Bruhl has had success as a playwright but the creative well has run dry. He and his wife, Myra, are facing a shaky financial future. Then a sure-fire hit script falls into Sidney’s hands. Unfortunately, Sidney did not write it. Clifford Anderson, a writer who took a seminar with Sidney, has written this masterful play. What would someone do for success and acclaim? Commit murder? Maybe. The plot gets complicated by a world-famous psychic, Helga ten Dorp, staying nearby and sensing danger. Sidney and Myra’s friend and lawyer, Porter Milgrim, has his suspicions as well. What price will Sidney pay to regain fame and fortune?
Deathtrap is the longest running comedic thriller in
Broadway history and was made into a film starring Michael Caine and Christopher Reeve.
