Runway Theatre Presents, BASKERVILLE: A SHERLOCK HOLMES MYSTERY

Comedy’s the clue to a good time with Sherlock’s famous mystery at Runway Theatre.

Grapevine, TX – A literary classic is being reimagined as a cackle-out-loud comedy as Runway Theatre presents Ken Ludwig’s Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery, opening March 25th. More than forty characters magically appears from a group of five actors, all Runway veterans, including Valerie Armstrong, John Grissom, Rae Harvill, Tripp Jackson, and Greg Kozakis. Each don and discard costumes with dexterity to hilarious effect…which makes sense as “the game’s afoot!”

Fans of Arthur Conan Doyle’s story are sure to find this retelling faithful but farcical while first-timers will enjoy every slapstick second, too. The hijinks pile up faster than the body count in an atypical who-done-it as everyone’s favorite detective races to discover the cure for a family curse and his faithful companion, Watson, chases down the eerie and elusive hound of Baskerville.

Performances are March 25th through April 10th, every Friday and Saturday at 8pm and Sunday at 3pm. Ticket prices are $22 for general admission with a discount to $19 for Runway members. Securing tickets is elementary (sorry, we couldn’t resist) at RunwayTheatre.com.

About Runway Theatre:

The End of the Runway Players (ERP) was created in 1983 when a small group established a community theatre in Grapevine, Texas. They mounted their first full season in 1985 and became a nonprofit organization, establishing Runway Theatre in its first permanent home on Dooley Street. Eleven years later the theatre was destroyed in a tragic fire. With the community’s support, Runway rebuilt and has since produced hundreds of plays and musicals. Though dark for sixteen months during the COVID-19 pandemic, the theatre reopened in late summer of 2021 and remains dedicated to producing entertaining live theatre in a welcoming home.
