With Spring Break just around the corner, this would be a great time to catch a show! I have a few lined up in the next few weeks. Look for reviews for Beauty and the Beast with Upright Theatre, Sherwood with MainStage Irving, Sweet Revenge with Rover Dramawerks, and Baskerville at Runway Theatre! I have high hopes for all of these productions! Listed are the theatres, their performances and auditions:
MainStage Irving-Las Colinas: Robinhood returns in Sherwood, March 11-26, at the Dupree Theatre at Irving Arts Center. Friday and Saturday showings at 7:30pm and Sunday's at 2:30.
Auditions for Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown is scheduled for March 26th, 1pm-6pm, Callbacks the following Sunday. Bring current headshot and resume. Please prepare 32 bars of an up-tempo song and a ballad in the same style as the show. Bring sheet music for piano accompaniment in a small 3 ring binder, copied 2 sided.
Upright Theatre: Don't miss this ONE WEEKEND ONLY performance of Beauty and the Beast, March 10-13. This is a special production that will take place at Palace Arts Center in Grapevine. Appropriate for ALL AGES!

Artisan Theater Center: The Wizard of Oz continues to run until March 19th. Seating is limited, so hurry! Performances take place on the Main Stage at 444 E. Pipeline Rd. in Hurst. This show is appropriate for ALL AGES. Performances are Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at 7:30pm, and Saturdays at 3:00pm and 7:30pm. Appropriate for ALL AGES!
Auditions for How I Became a Pirate are coming up soon on March 9th from 5:30pm-8:30pm. You must reserve your spot online. Actors ages 8-18 are welcome!

On Stage in Bedford: At Wit's End opens March 17th with $10 Preview night (some $5 seats are available this night, if you're an early bird!) and runs until April 3rd. Performances are Friday and Saturdays at 7:30pm and Sundays at 3:00pm. The theater is currently located on the 2nd floor of the Old Bedford School House at 2400 School Ln in Bedford.

Rover Dramawerks: Sweet Revenge is just around the corner, March 17-26! Performances will take place in The Cox Building at 1517 H. Avenue in Plano. Showtimes are Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00pm and additional performances on Saturdays at 3:00pm. Get the best deal for tickets on opening night!

Runway Theatre: Anyone a huge Sherlock fan, like me? You've got to take time to see Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery. Opening on March 25, the show runs until April 10th with performances on Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00pm and Sundays at 3:00pm

The Firehouse Theatre: THIS WEEKEND ONLY, see A Year with Frog and Toad. I don't know about you, but I read the Frog and Toad books so much as a kid, and I still read them to both of my sons! They love them, too! Head over to Farmer's Branch for the adorable show! Performances are March 4-6, Friday and Saturday at 7:30pm, Saturday and Sunday at 2:30pm. Appropriate for all ages.
Auditions for Big Fish will be on March 19th, but video auditions are currently being accepted. In-person auditions will take place at Christ United Methodist Church in Farmer's Branch at 2807 Valwood Pkwy. Use this sign up genius link to schedule your audition!

Grand Prairie Arts Council: Cabaret will run March 18-27. Fridays and Saturdays are at 8:00pm, Sundays at 2:00pm, with an additional 2:00pm matinee on Saturday, March 26th. Located at Uptown Theatre, 120 E. Main St. in Grand Prairie. Ages 16+ for this production!

Garland Civic Theatre: Something Rotten begins this month! March 11-27. Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30pm and Sundays at 2:30pm at Granville Arts Center, 300 N. Fifth St. Tickets are $20. Likely appropriate for ages 14+.
