[title of show] takes the stage at Runway Theatre.
Grapevine, TX – Ever wonder what it takes to make a musical? Runway
Theatre explores the question with their latest special event production:
[title of show]. Yep, that's actually the title of the show, which follows four
friends (bonus, our actors really are friends!) on a journey of writing,
rewriting, and producing an original musical. Tight harmonies and
laugh-out-loud moments are woven into this true tale of four dreamers who
stopped dreaming…and started writing.
Starring Amy Jackson, Tripp Jackson, Cody Martin, and Jessie
Wallace – and featuring Kristin Spires as both the music director and keyboardist
– the piece, which is based on a true story, is sure to leave audiences
inspired to seek out their own creative opportunities. “That’s the real joy of this
story, I think” said board president John Grissom. “Here at Runway, we can all
relate to these four friends getting together to tell a story because that’s
exactly what we’ve done together for decades!”
Rate R for mature language, performances are May 20th
through June 12th, every Friday and Saturday at 8pm and Sunday at
3pm. Ticket prices are $27 for general admission with a discount to $24 for
Runway members. Tickets can be purchased at RunwayTheatre.com.
About
Runway Theatre:
The End of the Runway Players (ERP) was created in 1983 when a small group established a community theatre in Grapevine, Texas. They mounted their first full season in 1985 and became a nonprofit organization, establishing Runway Theatre in its first permanent home on Dooley Street. Eleven years later the theatre was destroyed in a tragic fire. With the community’s support, Runway rebuilt and has since produced hundreds of plays and musicals. Though dark for sixteen months during the COVID-19 pandemic, the theatre reopened in late summer of 2021 and remains dedicated to producing entertaining live theatre in a welcoming home.
