I continue to be impressed by the level of talent that I see in all of the wonderful productions that I've been welcomed to review! There have been set designs that have knocked my socks off, singing voices that have blown the roof off and acting talent that gave me goosebumps on my arms. There is simply nothing that replaces the experience of live theatre. Even my little boy, who has been my guest to some of the children's plays is beginning to think of storytelling through a different imaginative lens, as if what the world he's reading about comes to physical life in his mind. I've always known that theatre makes kids smarter, but now I have the added bonus of seeing the effects of it in my own child. If you are a regular theatre-goer, I'm sure you know what I mean. If you have yet to attend a production I hope, truly, that you will take the opportunity to see at least one show this month. If you are a parent, I beg you to take your child to at least one play this month! (You worry they might be bored? Believe me, it's highly unlikely. The children's theatres in our area are masters at keeping kids entertained!) On that note, here's what's on stage this month and some upcoming auditions.
