Most of us have grown up knowing Dr. Seuss in some way. From The Cat in the Hat, to How the Grinch Stole Christmas!, the stories of Dr. Seuss have taught us how to read, how to rhyme and how to exist in a world full of controversy and mayhem. It has taught us that children often know much more than we think. That imagination (when used properly) can solve a myriad of problems. In fact, it can save the world!

We all grow up and forget the simple lessons that we learned as children. Seussical is an opportunity for us to go back and see what happens when we learn to trust, give, share, love, and make amends with others. What happens when we listen to a 10-year-old child who just might have it all figured out. What happens when we let a Cat take us away and make us forget the seriousness of it all? Is there a heroic problem solver inside each and every one of us? What happens when we remember how to laugh again?

This version of Seussical will be different from others you may have experienced. Absurd, magical, and infused with comedy. Using the Cat in the Hat and two of his assistants as storytellers, the story will be told in a very unique way. A little simpler and a little darker. Using improv, choreography, movement, devised and immersive theatre, the characters will have more depth and a little more story to accompany all the music.

Because of COVID, the principals in this adult-cast show have been doublecast. There are a few children cast in roles that required younger people.
