Sock ghosts, coconut boobies, but love, wrestling, sword fights, cross-dressing, action figure sex, and terrible Scottish accents. What more could you need in a comedy-- about Shakespeare?! These are just of the few hilarious staples that stick out from this show. Upright Theatre Company's The Complete Works of William Shakespeare, Abridged! is better than a night of stand up comedy, without the two drink minimum! This is the perfect way to screw up Shakespeare! Don't get me wrong, you won't find a bigger fan of Shakespeare's work than me, but if you're going to screw it up, at least do it right! Do the Bard proud!

Tim Bass, Nathanael Clark and Kyle Morris make a perfect trio in this parody of parodies! These three have perfect timing with the classic puns, immature humor and physicality of this script. You'll be in stitches over the adolescent banter, childish tantrums, and clowning around that these guys flaunt! Bass fancies himself an intellectual, while the idiotic Kyle (who proves to know more than we originally think) tries to keep up. And, straight-man Nathaneal tries to keep both of their egos stroked long enough to get through the play!

What is the play, you ask? Wouldn't we all like to know! The three yahoos attempt to perform all 37 plays by William Shakespeare in 97 minutes. Do they succeed? Well, I guess it depends on how you'd define "success." Either way, they most definitely succeed at making us laugh! But, if you're a fuddy-duddy who doesn't like comics to engage with you, be sure to grab a seat in the back. Let the rest of us handle it.

Oh, and, did he just throw up backwards?!

Y'all Enjoy!
