If you’re unfamiliar with Rover Dramawerks, prepare to be amazed. They are masters at resurrecting forgotten gems and bringing them back to life on stage. Tons of Money is no exception, making it an absolute delight for loyal Rover fans. The script itself is a treasure trove of clever jokes and whimsical gags, expertly brought to life by a talented cast. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if other theaters tried to snatch this production in the future.

The setting of the play, the Allington home at Marlow, is beautifully portrayed thanks to Michael Straub’s scenic design. The cozy and inviting atmosphere created by Jason Rice’s sound design and Kenneth Hall’s lighting truly immerses the audience in the world of the play. Kerra Sims deserves special recognition for the impeccable costumes she designed for the cast, no small feat considering the size of the ensemble.

Director Carol M. Rice deserves applause for her masterful use of the space and her ability to highlight the physical comedy that adds an extra layer of hilarity to the show. Rice has a keen eye for bringing out the best in her cast, playing to their strengths and creating a truly memorable experience.

While the entire ensemble is outstanding, there are a few performances that truly stand out. Chloe Villegas steals the show as Louise Allington, delivering her lines with impeccable timing and bringing a contagious energy to the stage. Logan Gaconnier also deserves praise for his energetic and humorous portrayal of Aubrey Henry Maitland Allington, a role that requires immense talent to pull off. The chemistry between Villegas and Gaconnier is palpable, with their interactions adding an extra layer of depth to their characters.

Miquela Lopez shines as Louise’s friend, Jean Everhard, injecting the perfect amount of excitement into the already vibrant production. Erik Knapp and Emily Cole, who play members of the staff, form another dynamic duo, clearly having a blast on stage and elevating their performances to new heights. Robert Shores and Aidan Fenton also deserve recognition for their stellar portrayals, each bringing a unique energy and charm to their respective roles. The contrast between their frantic energy and the calmness of Nancy Lamb, Russell Harris, and Chuck E. Moore adds another layer of complexity to the show, and each actor delivers a superb performance.

Rover Dramawerks has, once again proven their ability to bring forgotten gems back to life with Tons of Money. With its clever script, talented cast, and brilliant direction, this production is a must-see for theater enthusiasts. Don't miss your chance to experience the magic of this show.
