Four Weddings and an Elvis is the perfect summer comedy romp, shining a spotlight on four of the most memorable weddings from Sandy’s (Rose Ann Holman) tenure as the low-key jaded proprietor of a classically Vegas wedding chapel.

Bev (Lindsey Nelson) and Stan (Nathan Willard) are looking for vengeance, on a mission to beat their exes to the altar in grand, live-streamed fashion.

Their explosive ceremony is followed by Vanessa (Kristin Sutton Ford) and Bryce (Travis Cook), egocentric formerly A-List, currently D-List co-stars looking to reignite their careers by giving their personal lives a clickbait-y reboot.

And then sweet mail carrier Marvin (Dio Garner) and his recently paroled fiance Fiona (Danielle Yoshiko Phillips) receive a heartwarming surprise from Fiona’s first love, Fist (Michael Padilla).

John (Cory Phillips) and Lou (Allen Matthews) provide a spirited through-line as seasoned officiants, leading to touching twists at weddings number one and four.

Staci Ingram’s direction around and through Robert Clark’s set allows her charismatic cast the space to effectively bounce off each other as they embody their larger than life characters.

Vicki Duval’s attentive costume design, including the 11th credited cast member, the Beautiful Bridal Gown on loan from Damele Bridal, establishes a sparkling, sensational tone for the festivities. Everyone is sincerely here for the party, but the way Cory Phillips’ many faces of Elvis pop up throughout really tie it all together.

Four Weddings and an Elvis continues through June 22, pocketsandwich.com for Tickets.

Cheers!

Jenny
