Junior Players Presents Twelfth Night
July 28 – August 2, 2026
DALLAS (July 14, 2026) – Now in its 71st year, Junior Players is excited to bring their fan-favorite summer Shakespeare production indoors to the mainstage of Theatre Three. This production takes one of Shakespeare’s most beloved comedies, Twelfth Night, and brings it back to the final year of Queen Elizabeth I’s reign, so participants and audiences alike can experience the twilight of a golden age together. Through this production, Director Kyle Lemieux and Assistant Director, and Junior Players Alumni, Rudy Lopez, hope to reveal a deeper truth: when love is mistaken, truth finds a way.
Performances will be July 28 – August 2, 2026, at Theatre Three (2688 Laclede St, Dallas, TX 75201). Tuesday through Saturday will feature evening performances beginning at 7:30 pm and with doors opening at 7:00 pm, and Sunday will feature a matinee performance beginning at 2:30 pm and with doors opening at 2:00 pm for 6 shows total.
This production features 19 of North Texas’ most talented students aged 14 through 18 from 9 different high schools from across DFW. Of these 19 participants, 9 have participated in Junior Players’ Summer Shakespeare production previously and decided to return and 10 are newcomers to the program. As Shakespeare’s most mature comedy, Twelfth Night balances joyous celebration with quiet melancholy as characters and audiences alike discover love is
joyful, foolish, transformative, and, sometimes, bittersweet.
