Eastfield Dance Presents the second annual Dallas College Faculty Dance Concert, now known as FACULTY WORKS
Providing a platform to showcase the work of our full-time dance, drama, music, visual art, and humanities faculty, the Eastfield Dance Department and Eastfield Dance Company continue the Dallas College-wide faculty performance art showcase.
MESQUITE, TX — The Eastfield Dance Department and Eastfield Dance Company present the second annual Dallas College Faculty Dance Concert, now known as FACULTY WORKS, in the Eastfield Performance Hall. The performance takes place on one-night only, Friday, October 2 at 7:30 P.M. The show is free and open to the public.
FACULTY WORKS will featuring live performances and videos by Dance Faculty members Roberto Alvarez, Jr., Dr. Danielle Georgiou and Tessa Salomone, Visual Art faculty member Eric Thayer, Humanities faculty Alondra Puentes, Music faculty Eddie Healy, Drama faculty Ana Hagedorn, and Performing Arts Chair Dr. Scott Venters, with an art exhibition in the Performance Hall Lobby featuring works by Visual Art faculty member Jason Valdez and Art & Humanities Chair Dr. David Moya. Guest artists include the De La Rosa Dance Company.

About Eastfield Dance
The Eastfield Dance Department and the Eastfield Dance Company are a part of the Dallas College’s School of Creative Arts, Entertainment, and Design. Instated as an official program in 2012 by Dr. Danielle Georgiou, the program has grown to include a full range of technique classes, including the Eastfield Dance Company – a pre-professional performance company
that provides training and performance opportunities for students on and off campus, in concerts, and at community events. Alumni of the program have gone on to receive scholarships and be accepted into dance programs at the University of Oklahoma, University of North Texas, Texas Woman’s University, University of Texas at Dallas, Texas State University, and the University of Texas at Arlington. Alumni have also gone on to training programs with national companies and to dance professionally.

Dallas College Dance offers a variety of lecture courses, such as Dance Appreciation and World Dance, as well as movement practices, including Modern, Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Body Conditioning, Composition/Improvisation, and Dance Performance. Dallas College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award associate and baccalaureate degrees.
