Do not fail to get yourself to Richardson Theatre Centre for No SEX Please, We’re British, a delightful bedroom farce that will have you grinning, giggling, and guffawing.  Your over-scheduled hectic life needs the fun you will have watching newlyweds Peter and Frances Hunter (played by Ian Grygotis and Sara Parisa) try to carve out private time despite a constant stream of visitors and package deliveries. The chemistry between this pair is perfect.

Grant Palmore is a tour-de-force as Brian Runnicles. Palmore’s facial expressions and physicality pull you inside Runnicles’ mental anguish. Sue Goodner is a whirlwind as Eleanor Hunter, Peter’s mother. Anthony Magee plays Leslie Bromhead, Peter’s delightfully staid boss who courts Eleanor. Superintendent Paul, a local police investigator, played by Eddy Herring, pops in at the most inopportune times. Also popping in are Robert Dullnig and Camilla Norder, as delivery men.

Blake Rice plays Mr. Needham, a bank inspector who arrives early and becomes an overnight guest of the Hunters. Rice really gets a chance to show off his talents and assets in his portrayal of this character. A trio of ladies shows up to entertain Mr. Needham in ways he had never imagined. Laura Jennings (Susan), Katy Hill (Barbara) and Penny Elaine (The Other Barbara) are a joyous explosion every time they are onstage.

Timing is critical in any farce, and Director Janette Oswald keeps the action moving. There is a great deal of physical comedy which is well-choreographed and executed. Oswald also designed the set. Lighting Design is by Kenneth Hall. Robbi Hall is Sound Designer. Nathan Beeman and cast are credited with Costume Design.

No SEX Please, We’re British continues at Richardson Theatre Centre through June 11th. Performances are at 7:30 pm on Thursdays, 8 pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and 2 pm on Sundays. Tickets may be purchased at richardsontheatrecentre.net. Don’t delay. RTC performances frequently sell out.
