Auditions: InVerse Theatre's The Trojan Women, June 28 in Dallas

InVerse Theatre Hosts Auditions for The Trojan Women

Written and Directed by Bradford Reilly
Inspired by Seneca and Euripides
Produced by Bradford Reilly and Katelyn Yntema

Local Actor/Playwright/Reviewer/Director/Producer announces auditions for his script, The Trojan Women.

You may recognize Bradford Reilly from his writing with Dallas Theatre Journal, or in any of his performances around DFW Theatre. Long before his made his entrance to Dallas in 2020, he had a script which has been written, revised, read, edited, re-written, read, edited and so on. After many years in the making, The Trojan Women is ready to make its Dallas premier! Reilly boasts many talents, and writing is one of his strongest; reading any of his reviews will tell you that much!

When asked what initially inspired Reilly to write about a Greek Tragedy, he said, "In writing the show, I studied this myth-- many versions and adaptations of this play and its characters: from Euripides to Seneca to Racine. The fight these women have within always stood out. These women were not victims, they were survivors. These themes remain absolutely pertinent: the fight for survival in times of disaster, the reach for community when you've lost control of your circumstance, and the grip we grasp for our identities when outside forces threaten to steal it from you."

Upon meeting Katelyn Yntema during their run of Outcry Theatre Co.'s Describe The Night, the two quickly discovered that they are a dynamic duo and wanted to work together on a production of their own. Reilly says, "She's an incredible actress with a fiercely compassionate heart, and I am so excited to work with her."

It takes only a few minutes of listening to Reilly's creativity and passion to know that he is a director who comes to the table with a strong vision, effective communication, friendly persona and direct understanding of an Actor's point of view.
